Hi there, I’m Katie! As a photographer of 14 years, I have spent my career trying to develop a craft that makes people feel seen, known, and loved. I have always gone against the grain for as long as I can remember. I never felt led to lead a traditional life or have a conventional “job.” I always pictured doing something I felt fueled by, that I could show up fully and do for myself. At five years old, I wanted to own a nail salon. Then, in junior high, I wanted to own a bakery; in high school, I wanted to be a lawyer. None of these ideas ever stood. However, I saw a theme throughout them. I wanted to do something that I could foster and sustain, having the freedom to create the life I wanted to live. I wanted to do something to serve or help people while having a life that I was leading.

In my senior year of high school, I had a photo teacher that changed the course of my life. An art class was required to graduate, so I thought, “Why not a photo class.” This teacher of mine was the only person who ever encouraged and affirmed my talent for photography. One day during class, she said, “You have a natural eye that is very rare, and I hope you do something with this talent because the world needs your art” or something along those lines. Fast forward 14 years later, and here I sit because of her. Her motivation and encouragement gave me the confidence to start my business at 18; now, the rest is history.

It’s my most incredible honor to live a life serving people through my craft, and I couldn't be more grateful. I tell people I live a life of luxury because I get to spend my days truly enjoying this beautiful life, and creating for amazing people who trust my art. What a gift. Because of you, I get to continue putting art into the world. I would not be who I am without my relationship with The Lord, and I am so grateful he has blessed me with a life where I get to spend my days with him and with you.
